Date(s) - March 4, 2021 - March 6, 2021
While we still cannot safely come together in person as we might have hoped, APRL, like each of you, perseveres and we are excited about the ground we will cover together online at our 2021 mid-year meeting. We will revisit the topic of marketing yourself as a professional responsibility lawyer that our organization first tackled three decades ago. We will shed more light on issues facing lawyers who represent lawyers facing issues of impairment and disability. We will discuss growing risks for lawyers arising from liability to third parties. We will have our traditional open forum for discussion of issues in disciplinary defense. As with the 2020 Annual Meeting, we will also have a Virtual Happy Hour.
But we will also try quite a few new things. We will have a session that will blend a debate format with an effort to create a “listserv” discussion in real time and, sprinkled throughout the meeting, we will have seven bite-sized presentations. These focused, rapid, ethics discussions — “Fred” talks – will cover a variety of interesting issues in the world of legal ethics.
