E-Media Kit

The Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers (“APRL” pronounced April) is largest national organization comprised of lawyers, law professors, and judges focused on the representation of lawyers in disciplinary proceedings, professional responsibility matters, legal ethics, and the evolving law of lawyering. The substantial majority of APRL members provide advice to lawyers on legal ethics issues, defends lawyers in discipline matters or civil malpractice cases, act as expert witnesses, teach professional responsibility law courses or perform ethics-related functions within law firms. [See About APRL]

The organization issues Public Statements concerning the law of lawyering and legal ethics. It also takes positions on proposals to change professional responsibility laws and rules. In appropriate cases, it files amicus briefs.

APRL conducts national meetings twice a year featuring topical issues in the field by acknowledged leaders in their field as well as academics and the meetings include lively member participation.
